The poorest of the poorest receives help!

From the 14th to the 18th of September we ran a community - help project with our AMANO - students.

Faith without Good Deeds Is Dead

14 What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? 15 Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, 16 and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do?

17 So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
James 2:14-17

Help is on the way

That is how Mr. L. has been living for years -. dry season, cold season, hot season, rainy season

All his possessions including the bed.

Take a minute and walk around your room, flat or house. Look at your possessions! Your bedroom, your kitchen, your sitting room, flat screen, your garage, your bank account ...
Honestly, we are extremely rich compared to so many other people on this globe.

We try to sensitize our students for these situations and teach them ways how to get active and help in obedience to the biblical teaching.

Students turn into builders
Don't hit the finger!

His new shelter is ready - including a cement floor!

Mr. L. (centre) a happy man!

Our prayer is, that Mr. L. will find a real - everlasting mansion.

Jesus Christ:
There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?
John 14:2

Rain - Season in Zambia

As the northern Hemisphare is under a cold grip of winter,
we are enjoying  wet, warm weather in Zambia. The rainy season is still in full swing.
 The whole country has been transformed into a rich green.
 Everywhere we see people working in their fields. They are weeding and applying fertilizers to their crops, so they can expect a good harvest. Constant and steady rain is the imperative for their success.

We are doing something similar at our AMANO School.
 One hundred and thirty-five students have been put under our care. They need teaching, guidance and discipleship.

 We try to do all that, but most important we need the showers of blessing!

  1. There shall be showers of blessing:
    This is the promise of love;
    There shall be seasons refreshing,
    Sent from the Savior above.
    • Refrain:
      Showers of blessing,
      Showers of blessing we need:
      Mercy-drops round us are falling,
      But for the showers we plead.
  2. There shall be showers of blessing,
    Precious reviving again;
    Over the hills and the valleys,
    Sound of abundance of rain.
  3. There shall be showers of blessing;
    Send them upon us, O Lord;
    Grant to us now a refreshing,
    Come, and now honor Thy Word.
  4. There shall be showers of blessing:
    Oh, that today they might fall,
    Now as to God we’re confessing,
    Now as on Jesus we call!
  5. There shall be showers of blessing,
    If we but trust and obey;
    There shall be seasons refreshing,
    If we let God have His way.

Thank you for joining us to pray for such a rainy season at AMANO.
